Preserving the Memory of the Jewish Community of Oradea (Nagyvárad)

Please help guide our efforts by filling out this questionnaire. We welcome all your suggestions and comments, as we very much want to involve the entire international community of those with roots in Oradea.

Goals and Audiences

While all our initiatives relate to preserving the legacy of the Jewish Community of Oradea, they can serve different goals and different people. How important do you think the following goals are?

Projects

Our first project, to restore and rededicate the Holocaust Memorial erected by survivors in 1946 in the courtyard of the Orthodox Synagogue, is completed. We have initiated and are considering a number of other projects and would like to know how important you think they are.

4. Create a new memorial that teaches about Oradea's Jewish community and is easily accessible to all.

5. Establish fellowships to study the history of the Jewish community of Oradea and surroundings and make the results available to all.
